Volunteers Needed
Not sure where to start? Come spend the most rewarding hour giving back to the community on the first Saturday of each month from 2-3pm as we host a birthday party for residents in a local Arvada nursing home. We bring cake and socialize with some of the neatest folks you will ever meet. We celebrate all the birthdays for the upcoming month and hand out Golden Packs to the birthday people. Your small group or family can host, let us know what month your group is available. Cool Down & Be Safe
The Safety of Seniors Handyman Program at Volunteers of America is excited to announce the 11th annual Cool Down & Be Safe, Colorado! The purpose of this event is to help protect seniors during the hot summer months by providing one free fan. Volunteers will deliver the fans to the homes of seniors, age 60 or older, who reside in Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, Clear Creek and Gilpin counties. Summit on Aging - June 25,2013
